United Concessions Group (UCG) Partners with Inventors of Hamburger, Menches Bros. To Cook Up New Restaurant at Akron-Canton Airport
New Restaurant in Akron-Canton Airport Will Treat Travelers To A Chef-Inspired American-Style Cuisine, Featuring The World’s First Hamburger Recipe, Among Many American Food Favorites.
Akron, Ohio, Tuesday, February 21st, 2023: - United Concessions Group (UCG), an airport concessions company and leader in hospitality representing national and local brands in North American airports, announces the upcoming opening for their new full-service restaurant and bar at the Akron-Canton Airport, The Observation Deck.
Giving travelers a taste of history and local culture, UCG is proudly partnering with local, family-owned restaurant, Menches Brothers - The Inventors of the Original Hamburger with three restaurant locations in Akron, Canton, and Massillon.
Travelers will get to experience the world’s first hamburger recipe, and can choose from specialty burger options including the King James burger, the Hall of Fame burger, and the Observation Deck burger, to name a few.

"We have been working diligently to strengthen the sense of place for our travelers and know partnering with Menches Brothers will greatly advance those efforts.”

The Observation Deck’s signature menu will offer a variety of America’s food favorites with the option for a traditional sit-down meal or a quick grab and go. The Observation Deck is set to open mid-March 2023 just in time for spring travelers, and will be open seven days a week, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily.
